The Wight Strollers are back!
Following their sell-out production of Jack and the Beanstalk and another successful carnival season as 'Girls Beehiving Badly', The Wight Strollers are returning to Medina Theatre on February 10th, 11th and 17th 2018 with the most magical pantomime of them all: Cinderella.
It's the ultimate tale of rags-to-riches: Cinderella (Izzi Rudd) is the daughter of the once proud Baron Hardup (David Kast) and lives at Hardup Hall. Although the Baron loves his daughter, he can only watch helplessly as she's bullied into becoming a servant by her spiteful stepsisters, Pansy and Petunia (John Woodford & Andrew Wilson-Jenner).
But Cinderella's life could be about to change with the arrival of Prince Charming (Chesney Checkley-Hill) to her village. He's in search of a bride - but, so far, his search is not going well.
Will Cinderella get her happily-ever-after? Will Prince Charming ever find true love? Will the Ugly Sisters get their comeuppance?
Written by Sarah and Emily Scotcher and directed by Sarah Scotcher, with Kim Ball (Musical Director) and Cheryl Rudd (Choreographer) at her side, Cinderella is all-singing, all-dancing, all-laughter and promises to be a production that the whole family will enjoy.
And best of all, it’s in aid of local charities and every penny stays on the Island.
The Wight Strollers have raised over £200,000 for Island charities and good causes since 1981 and the total keeps rising!
So bring your family, bring your friends, and tell everyone you know - and we'll see you in the audience!
